"Every child should feel as if they are the most important thing in the heart of the teacher', said my teacher when I was attending high school. This lesson remains central to me, and I repeat to myself every day."

Maestra Roberta

"Helping a child to grow means being a part of their discoveries and seeing the world through their eyes, with childlike wonder and semplicity."

Maestra Lucia

"The uniqueness of each child must be respected and nurtured accordingly. A child's serenity is what's most important."

Maestra Carla

"The objective of a teacher is to encourage independence, creativity, and learning in her pupils. The approach should be one of care and welcoming, while respecting the individuality of every little one entrusted to her."

Maestra Monica

“Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I believe that the beauty of interacting with children is exactly this: we adults are the ones who learn from them. They allow us to look at things from a different perspective, making life more varied and unique"

Maestra Alessandra

"Safe spaces in which children can tell their own stories, in which they are given time, are an essential element for play, which is how children learn through experience."

Maestra Alice

"Ciascuno cresce solo se sognato". Custodisco queste parole di Danilo Dolci. Mi ricordano ogni giorno che educare e crescere sono "mestieri" che si fanno insieme e che, sopratutto, non lasciano indietro nessuno, se abbiamo il coraggio di sognare futuri possibili.

Our School

Located in the heart of Treviso for nearly one hundred years, Rubinato Nursery School believes in an education based on the principles of the Roman Catholic tradition and founded on the professionalism of teachers who guide our children along a path of growth with passion, love, and competence, while respecting the natural rhythms and needs of different ages.
Our daily school day routine, based on a calm and relaxed pace and a peaceful atmosphere, is fundamental in giving our students the sense of security necessary to their well-being. The objective is to provide children with the instruments they need to learn how to relate to others and to develop independence with awareness, encouraging imagination and creativity, while allowing each child’s individuality to shine.

Our Educational Objectives

Our school seeks to offer instruction which is both competent and appropriate, recognizing and adapting to the needs of each child and stage of development.
Our teachers accompany their students on their educational journey, encouraging them to explore and understand Christian and universal values, favoring harmonious personal development open to reciprocity and solidarity.

Our Teachers

The staff of teachers work together in an atmosphere of collegiality to develop a didactic plan specific to each of the three age levels. Our teachers are constantly looking to improve and share expertise leading to satisfying professional and personal growth.
“We’ve been working together for twenty years, with some new colleagues joining us over the years, and we’ve learned to build our relationship with honesty and complete cooperation. We are a very close group, at work, but also in life.”

Our School buildings and grounds

The environment which welcomes children is fundamental for their well-being. One of Rubinato Nursery School’s greatest assets is its large garden where students can play in peace in the shade of century-old trees, in utmost safety, as the space is internal and completely private. The garden is home to many playground features: a wooden train, a small tower and slide, a Tibetan bridge, a play house, garden toys and all of the equipment necessary for play and learning. The school is made up of two buildings, a historic patrician townhouse and an adjoining building, which house the entrance hall with the children’s wardrobes, classrooms, gym (currently being used as a classroom), games room, dining hall, kitchen, three bathrooms and service rooms. Each space has been designed with children in mind, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations, to create an atmosphere of serenity for the little ones.

The Kitchen

Our on-site kitchen sets Rubinato Nursery School apart from many other nursery schools. Our excellent cook, Tina, creates a 5 week rotation of menus in collaboration with an expert nutritionist and reviewed by ULSS 2, the local health authority in Treviso. Both the winter and summer menus utilize seasonal produce as much as possible, and we also try to source ingredients which are organic and local. From fresh fruit and vegetables to 100% Italian olive oil, we aim to give our children food which is healthy and balanced. Alternative menus are created for those children with medically-certified food allergies or for other specific ethical considerations.
